Lost Love

I remember those moments
When we were together
It was like heaven...
Now I have lost you
And you now belong to
Another and I feel like
Crying every moment
I remember you......
When am I going to
Regain the lost confidence
I have in you?
When am I going
To regain the lost
Love now gone?

Suffering Incessantly

How long one can perpetuate
cruelty on others
so ruthlessly?
How long one can be
so tyrannical
at the same time
being benign to others
but barbaric to some
and why is there
so much callousness,
this much hatred
when the victim is silent,
patient and harmless
even when the torture
continues intermittently
Till when it would go on?
But i know,
God is there,
watching all.
May be we are hasty,
may be we forget our sins.
God will never spare
those who perpetrate
ills on others for
no fault of theirs.
All we have to do
is wait and see.

Shane

Another day of waiting with my heart full of doubts,
Will you come, will you not?
Shall I cry if you will not arrive?
Tomorrow, I hope my waiting is over,
And see an angel's face everyday and forever.

When you came, you were drunk and blind,
I was on a nightmare when you lay on my bed,
Your breath with wine mesmerized my deep sleep,
Suddenly, strange kiss with two empty lips,
Darkness hide our arms as it travelled with a blazing heat.

Your drunkeness is contagious,
I was drunk with your beauty and embrace,
Lost with your fragrance, I surrendered,
You were my queen, I was your slave,
You were a heavy rain in the middle of my long drought.

Promises in the midst of insanity,
Broken fast as the sun conquered the dawn,
Sun lighted the bed of new love,
Dried all wets, heated all cold,
Worlds of forbidden love easily forgot.

Light stolen a precious treasure from my heart,
Evil invaded my soul to c*ck a weapon,
Anger pushed my heartbeats to be a furious lion,
I wanted to explode, I wanted to roar,
Too late to harm, you were gone, I was lone.

Loneliness of my life is the wound of my heart,
Your image on my mind,is an illness of my whole,
Memories for a while are the nightmares of my dreams,
Promises we had made are the poison of my apetite,
The love we felt is the death of my soul.

Nevet thought, true love starts when it ends,
I should fly away, far, to live in heaven,
Should spread my wings, you were an abrupt burden,
Cried on my shoulders, begged, to join me in my independence,
No more wines and nightmares, wide awake as we hold our hands.

Another promise of love to wait,
A second chance, this time for true love,
Travelled for miles, you must to follow,
To be free, to be happy,  in love for eternity,
Ow! How I wished it would be too soon.

I waited, days to weeks, weeks to months,
Couldn't eat, sleepless all nights,
Couldn't work, anxious all days,
Warm nights and hot days passed,
June rain dropped, I'm still alone, waiting for love.

You must have been the beautiful ending of this poem,
Only, if you arrive...

Beautiful Nightmares

Livin in a fantasy

Stuck in a dream

As I close my eyes and look from my soul...

I can watch what cannot be seen

I close my mind

I continue my stare

As I create an abstract reality

In a beautiful nightmare ....

Thankful for what?

I have no girlfriend or lover
No more father just a mother
I only have a dog I'd never adopt
Who keeps me feeling love
Perhaps I can be thankful,
That I'm not chained to a woman at all
And the man called dad can't survive
A killer known as cancer
Maybe a creature known as canine
Sees my heart, I can feel fine
When a mammal called human
Barely sees the heart inside me
These words wont have an impact
On how the world might act
Though it helps to pass the time
And gets things off the mind
So write your days away
When there's no desire to play
And ignore a barking animal
When it needs to go to the vet
Yes, I've gone off topic again
And forgot to point out my lack of friends
But the point I make gets lost
When the criticism defines my outcome .

Its Better To Reconcile

when i felt you were there
to help me out
i found you nowhere
when i felt there is none
to hold my hand.
no shelter was sought
you were there to get me out
of troubled waters
Why it so happens?
we desire something else
and get something else.
For the time being
it pains and hurts
out of our bearings
but its not the case
its just a timely phase
afterwards its revealed
whatever happened
was meant for our betterment

You are with me ever

Can you hear
Far far away
sound of the chymes?
what do they say?
They send me your message.
And i feel so elated.
Can you listen
To the voice of cool breeze?
It leads me to your passage.
And i am forced to tread
On that road.
Willingly and unwillingly.
I am forced to toe the same line.
Can you smell the blooming roses?
How do they smell?
They smell exactly like you.
Making the whole air perfumed.
All around.
Their fragrance makes me.
Resort to the daily routine.
Which was oblivious to me.
You are never away.

You

I wish I could touch your heart...
I wish that I knew what to say
Every time I spoke what I felt,
The past would get in the way

Your hands so small so lovely ,
Look like they itch to be held ,
And I can write a story about a love,
And forget not one detail

I could write about white roses
And tilapia over rice ...
I could even write about your beautiful smile
So bright , you could light up the night

It's a journey to find a happiness that I once felt ,
Or at least, that's how it seems ...
But I can always visit your love ,
At night , deep , deep in my dreams ..

Find new love

You sit in terrible sadness. The days of love lost,
the loneliness taking a toll. The happiness you felt
emotions and anger stole. You feel your temper flare,
you want to give into the enraged badness. But you
you will pay the soul scarring cost.

The days of love lost take a mind shattering toll.
You sit in terrible sadness, reality spinning, you
think of everything that they stole. You feel angry,
you want to scream and shout. But know everything
will be okay, there is another love inspiring day.

You smash the mirror, your dreams imbued into
the shattered and broken pieces. The love stolen,
the joy destroyed. But will you take responsibility,
will you own the mistakes, your sorrow you employed?
But think of the beauty, the amazing days you both
enjoyed.

See the love you shared, remember the time you
spent. The sorrow echoes across your dreams, by
fate you were paired, don't forget the beautiful days
of love that came and went. Think of moments when
you were on top of the world, when you felt sublime.

Remember how into their beautiful eyes you lovingly
stared. See the birds fly, see how passion made you
cry, before your world was torn and teared. Hear their
words, feel them again in your arms. Dream of how you
were swept away by their fire, their charms. Work on
yourself, don't feel desperate, it is not so dire.

Feel the tranquility wash over your mind, free yourself
from the emotional numbing bind. Feel the water, embrace
the happiness, peace you will find. Let go of the darkness,
be loving, empathetic, and kind. Someone else will come,
be caring and sweet, and their special clock you will wind.

Mist

At night, you are a speaker,
the Walls,
and the dim light,
in which the approaching shadows
climb up the glass like a mist.
At noon,as a place
where the wholeness is broken,
and all the people under the sun
long to drown.
You are seeking for the origins in a wine cup
as if obeying somebody’s summon:
"Only one can understand me,
but maybe he doesn’t really."

MY GIRL

i have a girl
and i love her very well
as high as the sky
and deep as well

she can make me smile so wide
and can makes my day so bright
just a single kiss on my lips
she can make me feel alright

whenever im in tear
she's always there to cheer me up
Yeah' she will do everything
to convert my cries into laugh

she promise me that she will never leave
until forever ends
i do believe that our love will never fail
and no one will go away

Oh how i love this girl too much
she's my everything, my forever,
my Babe, my partner
for the rest of my life :)

To My Dear and Loving Husband

If ever two were one, then surely we.
If ever man were loved by wife, then thee.
If ever wife was happy in a man,
Compare with me, ye women, if you can.
I prize thy love more than whole mines of gold,
Or all the riches that the East doth hold.
My love is such that rivers cannot quench,
Nor ought but love from thee give recompense.
Thy love is such I can no way repay;
The heavens reward thee manifold, I pray.
Then while we live, in love let’s so persever,
That when we live no more, we may live ever.

A Red, Red Rose

O my Luve is like a red, red rose
   That’s newly sprung in June;
O my Luve is like the melody
   That’s sweetly played in tune.

So fair art thou, my bonnie lass,
   So deep in luve am I;
And I will luve thee still, my dear,
Till a’ the seas gang dry.

Till a’ the seas gang dry, my dear,
   And the rocks melt wi’ the sun;
I will love thee still, my dear,
While the sands o’ life shall run.

And fare thee weel, my only luve!
   And fare thee weel awhile!
And I will come again, my luve,
Though it were ten thousand mile.

Wedding Hymn

Thou God, whose high, eternal Love
Is the only blue sky of our life,
Clear all the Heaven that bends above
The life-road of this man and wife.
May these two lives be but one note
In the world’s strange-sounding harmony,
Whose sacred music e’er shall float
Through every discord up to Thee.
As when from separate stars two beams
Unite to form one tender ray:
As when two sweet but shadowy dreams
Explain each other in the day:
So may these two dear hearts one light
Emit, and each interpret each.
Let an angel come and dwell tonight
In this dear double-heart, and teach.

To His Mistress

Why dost thou shade thy lovely face? O why
Does that eclipsing hand of thine deny
The sunshine of the Sun’s enlivening eye?

Without thy light what light remains in me?
Thou art my life; my way, my light’s in thee;
I live, I move, and by thy beams I see.

Thou art my life-if thou but turn away
My life’s a thousand deaths. Thou art my way-
Without thee, Love, I travel not but stray.

My light thou art-without thy glorious sight
My eyes are darken’d with eternal night.
My Love, thou art my way, my life, my light.

Thou art my way; I wander if thou fly.
Thou art my light; if hid, how blind am I!
Thou art my life; if thou withdraw’st, I die.

My eyes are dark and blind, I cannot see:
To whom or whither should my darkness flee,
But to that light?-and who’s that light but thee?

If I have lost my path, dear lover, say,
Shall I still wander in a doubtful way?
Love, shall a lamb of Israel’s sheepfold stray?

My path is lost, my wandering steps do stray;
I cannot go, nor can I safely stay;
Whom should I seek but thee, my path, my way?

And yet thou turn’st thy face away and fly’st me!
And yet I sue for grace and thou deny’st me!
Speak, art thou angry, Love, or only try’st me?

Thou art the pilgrim’s path, the blind man’s eye,
The dead man’s life. On thee my hopes rely:
If I but them remove, I surely die.

Dissolve thy sunbeams, close thy wings and stay!
See, see how I am blind, and dead, and stray!
-O thou art my life, my light, my way!

Then work thy will! If passion bid me flee,
My reason shall obey, my wings shall be
Stretch’d out no farther than from me to thee!

Marriage Morning

Light, so low upon earth,
You send a flash to the sun.
Here is the golden close of love,
   All my wooing is done.
Oh, all the woods and the meadows,
Woods, where we hid from the wet,
Stiles where we stayed to be kind,
   Meadows in which we met!
Light, so low in the vale
   You flash and lighten afar,
For this is the golden morning of love,
And you are his morning star.
Flash, I am coming, I come,
By meadow and stile and wood,
Oh, lighten into my eyes and my heart,
Into my heart and my blood!
Heart, are you great enough
For a love that never tires?
O heart, are you great enough for love?
I have heard of thorns and briers.
Over the thorns and briers,
   Over the meadows and stiles,
Over the world to the end of it
   Flash of a million miles.

Marriage

Years later they find themselves talking
about chances, moments when their lives
might have swerved off
for the smallest reason.
                                     What if
I hadn’t phoned, he says, that morning?
What if you’d been out,
as you were when I tried three times
the night before?
Then she tells him a secret.
She’d been there all evening, and she knew
he was the one calling, which was why
she hadn’t answered.
                               Because she felt—
because she was certain—her life would change
if she picked up the phone, said hello,
said, I was just thinking
of you.
            I was afraid,
she tells him. And in the morning
I also knew it was you, but I just
answered the phone
                            the way anyone
answers a phone when it starts to ring,
not thinking you have a choice.

Invitation to Love

Come when the nights are bright with stars
Or come when the moon is mellow;
Come when the sun his golden bars
Drops on the hay-field yellow.
Come in the twilight soft and gray,
Come in the night or come in the day,
Come, O love, whene’er you may,
And you are welcome, welcome.

You are sweet, O Love, dear Love,
You are soft as the nesting dove.
Come to my heart and bring it to rest
As the bird flies home to its welcome nest.

Come when my heart is full of grief
Or when my heart is merry;
Come with the falling of the leaf
Or with the redd’ning cherry.
Come when the year’s first blossom blows,
Come when the summer gleams and glows,
Come with the winter’s drifting snows,
And you are welcome, welcome.

At the Wedding March

God with honour hang your head,
Groom, and grace you, bride, your bed
With lissome scions, sweet scions,
Out of hallowed bodies bred.

Each be other’s comfort kind:
Déep, déeper than divined,
Divine charity, dear charity,
Fast you ever, fast bind.

Then let the March tread our ears:
I to him turn with tears
Who to wedlock, his wonder wedlock,
Déals tríumph and immortal years.

love is More Thicker Than Forget

love is more thicker than forget
more thinner than recall
more seldom than a wave is wet
more frequent than to fail

it is most mad and moonly
and less it shall unbe
than all the sea which only
is deeper than the sea

love is less always than to win
less never than alive
less bigger than the least begin
less littler than forgive

it is most sane and sunly
and more it cannot die
than all the sky which only
is higher than the sky...

To You

I love you as a sheriff searches for a walnut
That will solve a murder case unsolved for years
Because the murderer left it in the snow beside a window
Through which he saw her head, connecting with
Her shoulders by a neck, and laid a red
Roof in her heart. For this we live a thousand years;
For this we love, and we live because we love, we are not
Inside a bottle, thank goodness! I love you as a
Kid searches for a goat; I am crazier than shirttails
In the wind, when you’re near, a wind that blows from
The big blue sea, so shiny so deep and so unlike us;
I think I am bicycling across an Africa of green and white fields
Always, to be near you, even in my heart
When I’m awake, which swims, and also I believe that you
Are trustworthy as the sidewalk which leads me to
The place where I again think of you, a new
Harmony of thoughts! I love you as the sunlight leads the prow
Of a ship which sails
From Hartford to Miami, and I love you
Best at dawn, when even before I am awake the sun
Receives me in the questions which you always pose.

A Blessing For Wedding

Today when persimmons ripen
Today when fox-kits come out of their den into snow
Today when the spotted egg releases its wren song
Today when the maple sets down its red leaves
Today when windows keep their promise to open
Today when fire keeps its promise to warm
Today when someone you love has died
or someone you never met has died
Today when someone you love has been born
or someone you will not meet has been born
Today when rain leaps to the waiting of roots in their dryness
Today when starlight bends to the roofs of the hungry and tired
Today when someone sits long inside his last sorrow
Today when someone steps into the heat of her first embrace
Today, let this light bless you
With these friends let it bless you
With snow-scent and lavender bless you
Let the vow of this day keep itself wildly and wholly
Spoken and silent, surprise you inside your ears
Sleeping and waking, unfold itself inside your eyes
Let its fierceness and tenderness hold you
Let its vastness be undisguised in all your days....

To A Child

The leaves talked in the twilight, dear;
   Hearken the tale they told:
How in some far-off place and year,
   Before the world grew old,

I was a dreaming forest tree,
You were a wild, sweet bird
Who sheltered at the heart of me
   Because the north wind stirred;

How, when the chiding gale was still,
When peace fell soft on fear,
You stayed one golden hour to fill
   My dream with singing, dear.

To-night the self-same songs are sung
   The first green forest heard;
My heart and the gray world grow young—
   To shelter you, my bird.

Listening

You wept in your mother's arms
and I knew that from then on
I was to forget myself.

Listening to your sobs,
I was resolved against my will
to do well by us
and so I said, without thinking,
in great panic, To do wrong
in one's own judgment,
though others thrive by it,
is the right road to blessedness.
Not to submit to error
is in itself wrong
and pride.

Standing beside you,
I took an oath
to make your life simpler
by complicating mine
and what I always thought
would happen did:
I was lifted up in joy.

Infant Joy

 have no name
I am but two days old.—
What shall I call thee?
I happy am
Joy is my name,—
Sweet joy befall thee!

Pretty joy!
Sweet joy but two days old,
Sweet joy I call thee;
Thou dost smile.
I sing the while
Sweet joy befall thee.

A Birthday

My heart is like a singing bird
                  Whose nest is in a water'd shoot;
My heart is like an apple-tree
                  Whose boughs are bent with thickset fruit;
My heart is like a rainbow shell
                  That paddles in a halcyon sea;
My heart is gladder than all these
Because my love is come to me.

Raise me a dais of silk and down;
                  Hang it with vair and purple dyes;
Carve it in doves and pomegranates,
                  And peacocks with a hundred eyes;
Work it in gold and silver grapes,
                  In leaves and silver fleurs-de-lys;
Because the birthday of my life
Is come, my love is come to me.

For a Girl I Know about to Be a Woman

Because you’ll find how hard it can be
to tell which part of your body sings,
you never should dally with any young man
who does any one of the following things:

tries to beat all the yellow lights;
says, “Big deal!” or “So what?”
more than seven times a day;
ignores yellow lines in a parking lot;

carries a radar detector;
asks what you did with another date;
has more than seven bumper stickers;
drinks beer early and whiskey late;

talks on a cellular phone at lunch;
tunes to radio talk shows;
doesn’t fasten his seat belt;
knows more than God knows;

wants you to change how you do your hair;
spits in a polystyrene cup;
doesn’t use his turn signal;
wants you to change your makeup;

calls your parents their given names;
doesn’t know why you don’t smoke;
has dirt under his fingernails;
makes a threat and calls it a joke;

pushes to get you to have one more;
seems to have trouble staying awake;
says “dago” and “wop” and words like that;
swerves a car to hit a snake;
sits at a table wearing a hat;
has a boneless handshake.

You’re going to know soon enough
the ones who fail this little test.
Mark them off your list at once
and be very careful of all the rest.

I'm Not Really 60

That's not my age, it's just not true
My heart is young, the time just flew
I'm staring at this strange old face
and someone else is in my place!

My body's not in disrepair
I've not much grey in my brown hair
I sometimes feel a little tired
But go for jogs when I'm inspired

This age old thing is not for me
Concessions given, prescriptions free
I'll just pretend I'm in my prime
To age too fast would be a crime

I'm just not 60 in my head
It's still so long till I am dead
So please don't see me in that way
I'm staying young, if that's OK!

Missing

I've hunted near, I've hunted far
I even looked inside my car.
I've lost my glasses, I'm in need,
To have them now so I can read.
I loudly swear and I curse
Did I leave them in my purse?
Are they behind the sofa, under the bed?
Oh there they are - on my head!

Love

When darkness falls and we're apart
Can love heal this lonely heart
I love you dearly that I do
Sleep is good when dreaming of you
With all my love I give to you
You are so sweet I know not how I'm with you

A Night With My Lady

Her body glistens in the light
I urge to play with her all night
I pick her up and hold her steady
Take a deep breath, we both are ready.

I run one hand up her long neck
Just touching her makes me euphoric
Across her body, my right hand goes
I've been practicing, believe me, it shows.

Her body glistens in the light
I urge to play with her all night
I pick her up and hold her steady
Take a deep breath, we both are ready.

Another deep breath, the tension mounts
Have to stay focused, every moment counts
I am ready lets get movin'
Here it goes, we both start groovin'.

Her body glistens in the light
I urge to play with her all night
I pick her up and hold her steady
Take a deep breath, we both are ready.

I start out slow to get in the swing
As I do she starts to sing
The sounds and feelings grow more immense
The movements, become more intense.

Her body glistens in the light
I urge to play with her all night
I pick her up and hold her steady
Take a deep breath, we both are ready.

She screams and screams, while I am gropin'
My heart stops as I see the door open
My mom walks in and with a frown
Says, Your guitar is too loud, please turn it down.

Untitled

As I lay here thinking,
Forever contemplating,
I feel unsure.
How do I close that door?
The one to stop the pain,
Stop the blame,
I just want to be whole again.
You step away,
As though everything's okay.
Never considering,
Just how I'm feeling.
I know I will be whole again,
Someday, but when?
I put on a fake smile,
The one that lasts a mile.
Until I am alone,
Then the story unfold...

Too Scared To Fall

One thing should be abundantly clear
There is no one answer to anything
You may think you like the Funny man
But baby… even his stuff stinks
We all sit around harping about being lonely
But we are all lonely for a reason
We are terrified to let anyone over the wall
Afraid that not alone may not be that pleasing
You have to be ready to share everything
Bad luck, bad credit, bad teeth, bad job
You’re not only signing on for the jokes
You’ll be picking up poop from someone else’s dog
You’re gaining a whole other set of life’s crap
And with this one you’re not even in control
How funny is the fat man now baby
How far are you willing to go ....

Beauty Of A Wedding Day

Beauty brightens the wedding day
with purity of conduct at bay,
And innocence lies dormant now
marked by uncertainty on the brow.

A wedding, like a bell doth ring,
Attached to the heart with a string,
And ecstasy, dawning the eyes,
Reflects the marvel of the skies.

The vows taken on a wedding day by far,
like the sanctity of life and character are,
And the animation in the eyes more bright
than the moonlight on a tranquil night.

If We are to Wed

If we are to wed
We should wed with truth
And we are here to live fearlessly
Till the end.
Remember, if we are wedding
With the truth, love
Supersedes all and
We are not to face any end.

An Amazing Wedding

I am your princess.
You are my prince.
May all of our wishes come true.
This is our special day.
This is the day where we get married

Our wedding will be a nice one
The wedding is when ever you want it to be
Our day will soon be here
All of our families and friends will be there

It will be a fun day for both of us
Weddings are very amazing when you love the person you are with ..

How Long

‘How long is it dear, since we were wed,
when first I ventured into your bed.
We’ve made it through together since then,
time filled with laughter, and counting to ten’.

‘How long is it since we were wed,
teapot filled up, toast with butter spread.
Memories formed and loved treasures kept,
times of bright smiles, moments when we’ve wept’.

‘How long is it dear since we were wed,
letters and cards, so numerous, read.
Funny jokes told and stories so sad,
accepting good, along with the bad’.

‘How long is it dear, since we were wed,
and what’s for us in the times ahead.
Shall we go on in the same old way,
each looking back to our own heyday’.

‘How long is it since we were wed,
no, cannot remember either, Ted.
But never mind, it was long ago,
and anyway I still love you so’.

Wedding Bells

Wedding bells are ringing in the chapel
that should have been ringing
out for you and me.
Now down the isle you walk
with someone else on your arm
instead of me.
We thought in our love
we had everything
until he came along
and swept you off your feet
taking you from my loving arms.
Now up the isle you go with him
to take your wedding vows
as I stand watching,
just another face in the crowd.
I could say something
but I won’t,
as this is your wedding day.
I shall simply slip into the shadows
and then slowly slip away.
You have a new life before you,
one I hope will bring you joy
as the wedding bells keep ringing
for your wedding day.

Sounds of Wedding Bells

They waited sixteen long years
For the sounds of wedding bells
The wedding bells ring, dingdong, dingdong
The wedding bells sing, dingdong, dingdong
For all to hear strikingly clear
Hold your silence and wish them well

It is the sounds of wedding bells
This aged love birds have been waiting for
Once unofficial honeys
From this point declared official
In this matrimonial ceremony

I wish them well
Their braveness is my acknowledgement
Their enduring fight is my guiding light
Their victory will go down in history
Together they compliment and compliment
Each other like a perfect pair of fitting shoes

One way or another they already knew
Long before the sound of wedding bells
They would love each other till the very end

So listen to the sound of wedding bells
As they sing dingdong, dingdong
Perhaps for you it wouldn’t be long!

Once Upon A Wedding Day

Once upon a wedding day
A couple joined in a close association
with hopes of love and good fortune to stay
That brought a state of euphoria to them
In every distinguished way.

Once upon a wedding day
the memories of their courtship
Glowed warmly in their heart
Where care and cultivated affection
Ever played a fundamental part.

Once upon a wedding day
The marriage ceremony was extra special
With the wedding march stately and slow
And the procession seemed to sparkle
And brought forth an attractive glow.

Once upon a wedding day
The marriage ceremony and festivities,
The cards and gifts and flowers
Filled this day with cheerfulness
And many lovely and happy hours.

Once upon a wedding day
Those that they loved surrounded them
To share their happiness this day
Bestowing their blessings of the marriage
And for their nuptial vows to forever stay.

The Wedding Day

Love has such a great way of growing,
Often by leaps and hounds the lovers say
loving hearts has a way of knowing,
With joy she heads to her wedding day..

She puts her wedding-gown away,
As tenderly as one might close,
With kissing lips and finger-tips,
And the petals of a red rose..

She puts her wedding-gown away,
The quiet place was all a stir
With vague perfume that filled the room,
Cedar and lavender and fragrant thoughts of her..

She puts her wedding- gown away,
Yet lingered with its whiteness gleamed
As one above a sleeping Love,
oh, thus it was so she seemed..

As she walked in beauty down the aisle in the room,
When it was time for her to kiss the groom
The wedding bells rang until she was out of sight,
The wind appeared and the white doves were in flight..

To enjoy the every moment that will come,
There's not really much more I need to say
Two hearts would rejoice at one home,
Having heart-picked their own 'wedding day'...

To love and a wedding

I share in the joy of my friends
While the air is filled with songs
To love, to love and a wedding
Blessed are the lives of friends
I share in their smiles quite often
For their humour is a narcotic
It infiltrates almost every thought
Induces many a joyful memory
In an addictive fashion I realise
The excited talk and anticipation
To love, to love and a wedding
Is something private shared
An intimate union of two
Shared with those close and loved
The glasses raised in celebration
The smiles and the laughter
What joy it has been to share
In the joy of my friends
Who sing of love and the song
To love, to love and a wedding ..

Crying In Your Wedding Dress

The roads always run wet this time of year
Not with rain - with tears
Crying in your wedding dress
Tearing your hair out

The park was always freezing-over around now
Not with winter - with the pain
Of pulling off your ring
Screaming your lungs out

You wore that dress for 16 hours
You wore it too long
You wore it when you arrived
And you wore it when you woke up
I wore my invisible jacket
My invisible trousers
My invisible smile
All day
On our wedding day

The prototype for this event
The blueprint of this heart-ache
Is sketched so deeply in my mind
There was no other way it could be
On our wedding day

I was walking, drunk, stumbling
You were crying in your wedding dress
I was gone, I was never really there
You were crying in your wedding dress
I was broke for any feeling
You were broke for any hope
Crying in your wedding dress
On our wedding day

The Weight of Love

I once was asked concerning love versus hate
Why does it seem that hate is so great?
While hate is a very strong emotion too
Nothing can equal love that is true

The weight of hate is very heavy to bear
While it seems like love is lighter than air
Accounts of hate make a big news headline
While actions of love you must look hard to find

But when you consider that love is patient, kind,
Envieth not, not pompous, not puffed up, not rude,
Seeketh not her own, slow to anger, thinks no evil,
Rejoices not in wrong doing, but rejoices in the truth,
Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things,
Endures all things, and never fails*

You soon learn that the density of love is so much,
Although the scales be heaped with a great volume of hate
It's catapulted by a mere measure of love's touch,
Love strengthens the bearer so one feels not its weight

I'm Blest

Of all of God's creation
I love you foremost
Tower of inspiration
And kindness utmost

Providing motivation
Giving me support
Helping ease frustration
With friendly comfort

I'm frozen by your beauty
Melted with your touch
In your arms I long to be
I love you so much

Even after many a year
The love of my life
You're the one I hold most dear
Blest you are my wife....

Phenomenal Woman

Pretty Woman wonder where my secret lies
I'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's size
But when I start to tell them
They think I'm telling lies
I say
It's in the reach of arms
The span of my hips
The stride of my step
The curl of my lips
I'm a woman
Phenomenally
Phenomenally woman
That's me
I walk into a room
Just as cool as you please
And to a man
The fellows stand or
Fall down on their knees
Then they swarm around me
A hive of honey bees
I say
It's the fire in my eyes
The swing in my waist
And the flash of my teeth
The swing in my waits
And the joy in my feet
I'm a woman
Phenomenally
Phenomenally woman
That's me

Men themselves have wondered
What they see in me
They try so much
But they can't touch
My inner mystery
When I try to show them
They say they still can't see
I say
It's in the each of my back
The sun of my smile
The ride of my breasts
The grace of my style
I'm a woman
Phenomenally
Phenomenally woman
That's me

Now you understand
Just why my heads's not bowed
I don't shout or jump about
Or have to talk real loud
When you see me passing
It ought to make you proud
I say
It's in the click of my heels
The bend of my hair
The palm of my hand
The need of my care
Cause I'm a woman
Phenomenally
Phenomenally woman
That's me....
